Volar locking plates (also called distal volar radial anatomical plates) are commonly used metallic implants for the open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of distal radius fractures. They are anatomically contoured to fit the volar (palm-side) surface of the radius and feature locking screws that provide stable fixation, even in osteoporotic bone. These plates allow for early postoperative movement, reducing stiffness, and are effective at preventing angular displacement of fracture fragments, thereby promoting proper healing and restoring wrist function.

The Zeus Periarticular Distal Femur Plate System is an advanced orthopedic implant designed for the fixation of distal femur fractures. Its thick-to-thin plate profile makes the plate autocontourable, allowing it to naturally conform to the bone as screws are tightened. The beveled edges and tapered design help minimize soft-tissue irritation and provide adequate soft-tissue coverage, while the periarticular portion of the plate decreases in thickness toward the joint line, simplifying additional contouring if needed.
