Cisatracurium Besylate Injection (Cisblok) is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent used to facilitate endotracheal intubation and provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgical procedures or mechanical ventilation. It works by competitively inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, thereby preventing muscle contraction and producing controlled muscle relaxation. Cisblok is commonly used as an adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate tracheal intubation in adults and pediatric patients aged 1 month to 12 years, to maintain muscle relaxation during surgery in adults and children aged 2 to 12 years through bolus doses or continuous infusion, and to support mechanical ventilation in adult patients in intensive care settings.
